The Girls Who Talk To Goats (and the men who assist them)

WHO: Tsuruya, Yuyuko, and sucker Kyon, with special guest NPCs!
WHAT: Seeing a guy about a goat.
WHEN: After one of Tsuruya's restaurant shifts.
NOTES: Rest assured, Frank is nowhere in sight.

Tsuruya hums to herself, her purse swaying by her side. She already has an idea of how to approach this goat issue, but she still needs to talk to the farmer in case there are any, well, extra points she should keep in mind. She CAN be impulsive, but things like these where somebody's important pet is at stake require a weeee bit more planning.

She is a bit concerned about how she's going to GET the goat if it turns out to be feisty, but she's certain something will come along that will provide a solution. Just gotta be positive!

"Won't this be exciting? I'm not sure that I've ever even seen a goat!"

It's a good thing that Tsuruya is nice and patient, because Yuyuko does not walk very quickly! Just elegantly.

Tsuruya had definitely lucked out in finding companionship, at least. Though the idea of a princess (and, in Tsuruya's mind, that's what she's decided Yuyuko is) catching a goat? It doesn't seem right. Still, who doesn't like company? "You don't think so? You'll know if you see one! They can be cute, but super mean sometimes, so we'd better find out what the goat's like from the farmer!" Tsuruya replies cheerfully. As if she has any other mode most of the time.

Yuyuko looks upward thoughtfully. "Say, do you think this goat catching business is going to be a lot of hard work? I'm not sure how I feel about hard work."

Tsuruya thinks. "Well, I s'pose that depends on the temperament of the goat. If the goat's a real sweetie, it shouldn't be any work at all! If she's a real fighter though... hmm." She ponders this. "I wonder if we can find someone tough to help out a bit just in case?"

Just at that moment, a nearby door to a restaurant opened. Out walked a certain teenage boy.

"You there, young man!"

Tsuruya waves cheerfully as well. "Heya Kyonny! How goes it?"

I should not be getting such a powerful feeling of foreboding from two attractive girls...

He gives them a curious look. "Not bad, I suppose. You?"

Oh, they know each other? Even better.

"Your friend and I have a very important favor to ask of you!"

Ohhh, she sees where this is going. Oh ho ho ho. "Megas, super important! You'd be doing us an awful lots of good, you know!"

All of a sudden, that sense of foreboding feels more justified.

"What, exactly, do you need me to do?" There's an expression of worry on his face, but knowing these two girls, the amount of good it will do Kyon is slim.

Yuyuko, meanwhile, just looks earnest and cheerful. Maybe a bit too much for someone getting someone else to do all the heavy lifting, but how can you say no to these smiles?

"We have to help a poor innocent man reunite with somebody very important to him!"

"Exactly! You couldn't possibly say no to helping on a mission like that, could ya Kyon? It's a matter of love!" adds Tsuruya, pouring on the puppy-dog eyes. And the guilt trip, of course.

Why do I get the feeling that they're leaving out an important detail?

More importantly, why is this WORKING?

Kyon is a sixteen-year-old boy. Of course such looks are going to work on him.

"All...all right, fine. I'll come along."

"I new we could count on you!"

With an extra bit of spring in her step, Yuyuko continues onward. "Now, let's go see this gentleman."

"Thanks, Kyon! I owe ya one!" Tsuruya gives a thumbs up before bouncing along in Yuyuko's wake. She knew something would come along if she waited long enough!

Kyon fell into step behind them. The look of worry never left his face.

Little did they realize that nearby was the missing goat, chomping down on a poor little old lady's precious flower garden while staring at the road.

Yuyuko pointed with gusto! That's her share of the physical labor.

"Catch that goat!"

"Wow! Hahaha, it really is the goat! What're the odds 'a that! Okay, let's be real megas careful! We don't wanna spook it!" Tsuruya cheers as her good luck once again kicks in! Someone up there likes her a lot.

I knew it.

"Hold on a second. You were talking about a goat?!"

Kyon sounds indignant.

Innocent expression! "I never said it wasn't a goat, did I?"

"Goat, person, what's it matter if you care about 'em? Come on, Kyon, you gots a cat, right? Wouldn't you want him back if he disappeared on ya?" Tsuruya adds, a sheepish look on her face.

"A cat's one thing. It's small and can easily be picked up."

Kyon motioned to the goat. "So what the hell do you expect me to do about THAT?"
