Usually they're stuck in out-of-the-way areas. You can always venture outside the city to find some; there's ruins to the north-west, if I remember right. But don't go alone; there's everything from sentient trees to giant nanite-mutated rabbits out there.

nanite-mutated... Good god, who would do such a cruel thing!

Not entirely sure. I think THAT one was an accident, in fact. The most sophisticated nanites can be likened to viruses, after all, and it probably got infected before it came here. Anyway, it was far from cute and fluffy when we fought it. Thing was as big as a small truck, and had hellacious claws and teeth. That's you should take someone with you even if you find out you can fight; because you never know just what the hell you'll find around here.

One of the guys here, Rex, he can actually cure the EVOs--that's what he calls 'em--but that's a complicated issue. As for who would do that? Someone who thought that it would yield a benefit somehow. Animal testing is an unfortunate necessity in some kinds of research...
