"What the f-" Jr. barely had time to react before the chocobo trampled his face.
In the haze of dust and feathers, all he could do was lie there in pain and shock, a huge chickenfoot print now visible in bright red on his face. At Ruby's question, he merely grunted and forced himself to his feet, where he checked to make sure he was still clutching his guns. There was a new fire in his eyes, and it was obvious that he was done kidding around.
"All bets are off. Let's go. We're having chicken for dinner tonight."
The clanking and squawking definitely got Ruby's attention. As well as the fact that their third companion was with the bird. "We should hurry, before the bird gets away from us and hurts that guy. That is, if he's still hanging on."
He rushed out the door, hopefully in time to not miss the bird leaving the fire escape.
"He won't be, if he's got any intelligence at all."
Jr. followed Ruby out of the theater, running up the fire escape as quickly as he could. It wasn't long before he realized that their friend was still clinging steadfastly to the giant chicken's back. Wonderful.
Once again Ruby finds himself staring down the Big Bird wanna-be. Once again, he dodges out of the way by jumping to the side. Hopefully that's enough.
With a quick glance at his fallen comrade, Jr. jumped past Yuri's body. He couldn't stop a devious grin from appearing on his face - if Yuri was down, it meant that nothing was stopping him from finally shooting at the chocobo.
As soon as Ruby jumped out of the way - "Good show, kid!" - he put on a burst of speed and began firing haphazardly at the giant bird.
The chocobo gets a beakful of hat as it turns and snaps, but turns and flees down the streets with a chocobutt full of bullet before it can do anything worse.
Ruby's hat. His hat. Was taken. This will not do. Not only does it match his outfit, Ruby's hat hair is obvious as well as a nasty double scar on his forehead that it was hiding. This bird is going down.
"Get back here with my hat you dumb bird!!!" Ruby yelled as he chased after the chocobo. And actually keeping up fairly well.
Jr. made a mental note to never take Ruby's hat. Whoa. Of course, with Ruby in front again, it meant that he had to rein in the shooting - again. Still, he managed to keep up fairly well, and soon he was running alongside Ruby.
"Quit running in front of me, wouldya? Do you want me to shoot you?!"
"I don't want you to shoot 'cause once we get close enough I'm bringing out my Pokemon!" Still running and launches himself over a fence into the park with ease.
"Crap, we're going to lose it if we're not careful! How can this thing run so fast?"
Ruby reached down to pick up the feather. "...I think you manage to hit it."
He looked around before noticing the open door, and decided to bring out Nana (http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/3/38/Nana.png) before going in. "Nana! Be on guard."
"Good." He seems suddenly unsettled by the blood and the feather, though; having second thoughts about that chicken dinner, Jr.?
Those doubts didn't last long, though, because he was now distracted by the thing Ruby had made appear. "Whoa, what is that and where did it come from?!"
It appears to be some sort of gardening store, going by the decorative statues of varying sizes, stone lanterns, and miscellaneous fountains. A shelf bearing plaster gnomes has shattered on the floor.
It's pretty dark, lit only by the light of novelty firefly-themed outdoor lamps.
"So it wants to play it this way, huh. Let's even the odds a bit. PoPo!" Ruby pulled out another Pokeball and tossed it so that another Pokemon (http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/8/88/Popo.png) appears. "Use sunny day!"
Almost as a side he warned Jr. before light filled the area, "You might want to cover your eyes for a second."
Nothing was going to stop Ruby now, he was in his element. No one and nothing messes with his hat and gets away with it. He grabbed a nearby hose to use as a rope, waiting for the opportunity to use it on the stupid bird.

"Oh come on, this isn't fair!"

A sweet melody of wark wark CLANK wark is audible to the two still inside the theater.

"Ow!"
CLUNK!
"OUCH!"
THUNK!
"OCH!"
CLANG!
THUMP!
"ooooooh..." Yuri fell on the landing of the fire escape as little birds metaphorically swirled around his head.

Jr. also launches himself over the fence with surprising agility, then beings shooting wildly in the direction of the chocobo.

Then, a clatter.
Then, silence.
In the place the sound was heard from, there lies only a broken feather and a few drops of blood.
Also, a nearby shop door appears to have been kicked clean off its hinges. That is probably significant.

Ruby slowly made his way into the shop, Nana right next to him. "Nana, move in and use Scary Face when you see the yellow bird."
Nana yipped in agreement before moving in.

Too late, he throws his arms up to shield his eyes. Looks like finding the bird is up to Ruby, at least for the moment.
