Happy Mother's Day, Irisviel!

Who: Shirou Emiya, Illyasviel von Einzbern, Irisviel von Einzbern
What: It's Mother's Day, so Shirou and Ilya have decided to show Iri their appreciation.
Where: A small park near Emiya Manor
When: May 13, early afternoon
Warnings: Expect lots and lots of fluff.

Shirou walked through the park, arms loaded with various items. He was carrying two baskets, two bags, and a folded-up blanket. No complaints, though. Ilya was too young to be made to carry stuff, and since it was Mother's Day, Iri wouldn't be carrying any of it, either.

Still, his arms were beginning to get sore. It was a good thing he and Ilya came in advance to pick a spot, or they might have wandered around looking for the perfect spot for a much longer time -- and there was hot food in those baskets.

Ilya hadn't protested much at the idea of Shirou carrying most of the stuff, really - it almost seemed natural. Instead she had taken the position of a leader of the group of sorts with how she was pattering ahead of the other two. The girl seemed pretty excited about the whole idea of the picnic too with the way she was giggling and humming to herself as she went. Spending the day like this was just too nice, having something like this with.. family. Even if she didn't remember it herself yet, she had no reason to doubt what Irisviel had told her either about them being family.

After a few more steps Ilya stopped and twirled around towards the other two for a moment, still a little distance ahead of them. "Come on, come on, it's pretty close to here..!" She had made sure to memorize the spot she and Shirou had picked earlier, after all.

Irisviel followed them with a sweet smile on her face. It was such a wonderful gesture that her two babies planned all of this for her in this day. The weather was perfect to be outside like this and she doesn't remember when was the last time she had a picnic like this. The woman couldn't help but giggle a bit about how happy she was right now.

"Yeah, the spot's right there!" Shirou motioned his head in the direction they needed to go. "We can get set up as soon as we get there.

"Hmm!" A nod from the girl. "So let's hurry! You're being a slowpoke, Shirou!"

That might be because he is carrying all the things - and Ilya knew that very well, but she still couldn't help but tease him. She seemed pretty happy about the teasing either way, and after saying it she just giggled and pattered ahead of them again towards the spot.

Spending time with her two children like this... Irisviel was truly happy for that. Perhaps if her husband were here, things would be absolutely perfect, but she has no complains so far. She wishes to spend all the time with them, doing this kind of things and creating new happy memories with them.

So to not fall behind, Irisviel ran after Ilya and the spot they chose for this day.

Well. Shirou couldn't run. That's what happens when you're carrying a bunch of stuff. He couldn't help but smile, though, because this scene really was wonderful.

Eventually, he caught up. "Okay, let's get set up. Someone mind helping me spread the blanket?"

There was a slight moment where Ilya just stared, glancing back and forth between Shirou and her mother. Well, it was Mother's Day, after all, so she should make sure to help out as much as possible, rigth? It was why she was already grabbing the blanket with a small determined frown on her face.

"Here, I'll do it..!" Hopefully it wouldn't end in disaster one way or another.

Irisviel was going to help Shirou when she noticed the strong determination that her little daughter had, so she didn't mind letting her do it, as she watched them with a big smile. Instead of that, the homunculus knelt down near some flowers and picked one to observe it carefully.

It was so white... So pretty, Iri smiled and moved closer to Ilya and placed it in her hair. "Thank you for all your hard work!"

Shirou grabbed the other side of the blanket, and smiled when Irisviel put a flower in her daughter's hair. "Okay, let's start spreading this out." With that, he started unfolding it and spreading it out.

Ilya did help with spreading the blanket out - even if at the moment when it was completely spread out on the ground, she immediately started directing her attention elsewhere, namely to the flower in her hair. She couldn't fully see it since it was on her head, but she still tries to admire it the best she could.

"Wah, it's so pretty, isn't it..?" First she stared at Irisviel with a giggle, but then she spun around to Shirou. "Hey, hey, Shirou! You think it's pretty too, right?"
