[Salu, like everyone else in the city, didn't remember anything: who she was, where she came from, just her name. Which was, to say the least, mildly upsetting.
There were probably sensible ways of fixing this, but screw sensible. Sensible didn't get anything done. She was going to take a teleporter out 'cause she heard anemoi was out there, find some, get back to the city, and start remembering. And if anything got in her way she was going to beat it. With a large stick or whatever.
This was probably a stupid idea. Part of her recognized this. She didn't really care. Maybe she used to be more patient, reserved, calm, but there was only one way to find out. Which is why she was about to step into a teleporter and head out to who knew where.]

[Marble-like things. Lawfer has the distinct feeling that all monsters carry marble-like things.]

[That is totally rustling. Lawfer can use a halberd about as well as Salu can use a stick right now, but even so, he reacts instinctively by swinging towards the sound.]
...And the adventure begins.

Be careful.

The rustling sounds like it's getting closer.]
Finally, some action.

[Lawfer keeps his halberd steady and his feet ready to spring.]

[Except forward, of course. Jr. doesn't get more than a few steps ahead before something swings out of the branches of the tree right in front of him and collides with his head.
After an impressive clonk, Jr. falls backward, momentarily knocked unconscious.]

All she really accomplished was getting it (and the sticky strand it swung down with) stuck on her stick. It appeared to be a gigantic cocoon...? Hard as a rock. (She's got a flail now.)]
no subject
...I would not keep holding that, if I were you.
[All the same, adventure was not quite as adventurous as he had thought it would be. Lawfer will kneel beside Jr. to check for injury.]

[Lawfer hesitates for a moment before leaning his halberd against a nearby tree and reaching down to try and pick up the kid.]
Do we continue forward or retreat? ...A single blow taking one of us from the action does not bode well.
no subject
Wh... wha' happen'd.

[Also ignoring the kid. If Jr. is awake, he can walk himself back to the telporter. Lawfer lets the boy slide out of his arms.]
no subject
H-hey. No! We needta find out what hit me!
I'm not sure what we're planning, but I'm gunning for some action. Hope it's OK!
[Lawfer steadies Jr. as he picks his halberd back up again.]
Whatever creatures live in this forest, we are ill-equipped to --
[Whatever Lawfer thinks they are ill-equipped to do, he's certainly ill-equipped to prevent the spray of sticky thread from blinding him. As he opens his mouth to shout reflexively, it is quickly filled with the same substance; as he raises his hands to protect his face, they are bound by the same substance.
The creature they had thrown away stops spraying and begins to hiss in anger. ...Or was that a call to alert other denizens of the forest?]
*goes before Fel*
The sticky substance was...well, sticky. Not easy to remove, but with a muttered...] ...shit. [...Salu proceeded to try to de-gunk his mouth. Ideally without getting her fingers stuck in the process.]
Warn me if something's trying to hit me, kid.
