[ Don't mind the girl talking to the closed door for a bit. ]

Well, I sure hope I'm at the right door. I was thinking about what you said, about Christmas and all, so we should really celebrate together. I was supposed to come here, right? I wonder if I'm forgetting something important. Sheesh, it's kind of hard! Because what if I'm remembering things while I'm here too. A never-ending loop of forgetting things. That doesn't seem fair, does it?

Oh! [ Perking up, she holds up a gift bag with lots of red and white tissue paper. ] I got a gift too! That was part of the agreement, right? Wait no, I think I just saw a sign that said I was supposed to get a gift for my friend. I hope you like it♪

[It'll be a moment before Ky answers the door. He actually managed to hear a good deal of that, which made him feel kind of embarrassed. He quickly scrounged around for Kaguya's present, put it on his bed, then opened the door.]

Hello there! I thought I might have went to the wrong door. That would have been weird, huh?

[Inside is a kit for taking care of one's hair. It includes shampoo, conditioner, and multiple brushes.]

We're following tradition. We exchange presents, then unwrap them.

I don't really get it. What's the point of unwrapping them so soon?

So soon? But it's Christmas Day. Presents are meant to be opened on Christmas Day.

[Ky opens the bag and removes the tissue paper.]

[Though he's beginning to suspect now that she's stalling for time.]

[ Yes, she's trying to stall just out of her own nervousness, the woman giving a strained laugh. ]

Well, the fact that you seem to be trying to postpone it. Are you worried that I won't like your gift? Because if so, it's all right. What matters the most to me is that you thought enough of me to go out and obtain a gift for me.

Is it.. is it really that obvious? Ahhhhh, I don't know what I'll do!

[Oh, man, Ky doesn't want Kaguya to have a panic attack. He reaches out, hoping to place his hands on her shoulders.]

Kaguya, please. Look at me.

[Should she do so, she'll see a soft expression on Ky's face, and a determined look in his eyes.]

[ Nope, she's going to try to avert his gaze for as long as she can.

Which lasts a whole two seconds before she glances up. ]

You don't need to feel nervous. You have become closer to my heart than any of the people I have met here, and that will not change, no matter the quality of the gift you gave me. The fact of the matter is that you thought enough of me to go out and purchase a gift for me with your own money, and that fact alone is enough to please me.

Trust me, nothing bad will come from me seeing what gift you got for me. And honestly, I'm willing to bet that you picked something that I'll appreciate. But no matter what, I care about you, and that's not changing.

[Ky's facial expression does not break even once. He's being totally sincere.]

[ There's a brief moment where her fear lingers, but then it's gone. Instantaneously. ]

Alright! Let's do it then!

[With that, Ky smiles.]

Go ahead. I'll open mine, as well.

[Ky grabs the bag.]

Alright, but if you don't enjoy it, I'll never be able to forgive myself!

[ Inside his are various candies and cookies, most with the appearance they were homemade. Additionally, there's a card inside that apologizes profusely just in case he's allergic or doesn't like X or X - at least it has a gift card with it for a nearby restaurant. Don't worry, it's not to a kiddy place or anything! ]

[Ky looks through the bag, and quickly reads the card, which he then puts back in. He doesn't take anything out yet, though -- no point in spoiling his appetite.]

This is absolutely fine. In fact, I'm quite impressed with the effort you must have put in.

I thought it was lazy and poor myself. As though I didn't really put a lot of effort into it even though I spent a lot of days perfecting it.

It doesn't look that way to me. Everything in here looks homemade, which proves to me that you put a lot of effort in.
