Megas exciting theme park fun!

*So there's this girl, see. And she's obviously human, aside from that fang, and that REALLY long green hair. And there's a theme park around, which she megas has to check out, because holy moley, what fun! She's definitely getting into it too, with a silly souvenir hat, and some cotton candy, and all sorts of theme park happiness.

Now maybe you've been looking at all this theme park stuff dubiously. After all, it just sort of appeared, right? But that's not gonna stand.*

Hey, I betcha that's more fun to ride than it is to watch -- but I'm not you, am I? Wanna go on it with me?

H-How is it cynical when I have been subjected to forces the likes of which even Niflheim could not imagine?

When I have been abducted, magicked away to an unfamiliar land, relieved of my memories, and planted in a city where words like 'roller coaster' and 'cotton candy' describe concepts beyond the limits of my imagination, I will rightly take as much caution as I care to. It's very well for you and the others who derive some comfort from this... 'theme park', but I have not survived to my age by tossing my cares to the side and skipping about in search of fun.

You are welcome to do so; perhaps your culture encouraged such behavior. But do not chastise me for my concerns.

...

[Lawfer responds softly.]

I am.

...No, I must apologize in return. It is improper for an man - an adult - to burden a child with such worries. Childhood is for... 'fun'. I... simply cannot help myself.

...The offer is kind, but I believe that responsibility is mine.

[Lawfer, despite the many speeches he's just made, does not appear to be very keen on leaving his 'slouched-over-park-bench-waiting-to-retch' position, though.]

...Allow me a moment.

[If Tsuruya sticks around as the 'moment', which turns out to be something more like three minutes, pass, Lawfer will slowly and unsteadily try to stand himself up.]

...You are welcome to seek enjoyment without the proverbial albatross around your neck.

Farewell, Lady Tsuruya. I shall hope you uncover all the fun you seek.
