Who: Yuta, Relm, and Kotetsu.
What: Breaking up a fight between the kids.
When: March 7thish
Where: Yuta's room.

There were a couple of results Yuta expected after making his post. Having Relm dragged kicking and screaming into his room by a superhero wasn't one of them.

Despite having opened the door calmly enough, he took a few steps back when he saw just who it was. To be honest, he had mostly hoped that his little post would get her in trouble; he wasn't too keen on seeing her inside his room once again.

"...Why is she here?" He asked with obvious distaste.

Getting these two onto peaceful terms was going to take a bit of work.

"She's HERE because apparently there's been some new details. Like some people not telling the whole truth, for instance." He glares at Yuta a bit as he drops Relm rather unceremoniously down on the ground. "Now I'm getting the whole truth outta you two, and then you two are gonna do this little thing adults like to do called TALK. THEN we can start figuring out who's blaming who."

And just to make sure, he stands by the door. No getting out that easy you two.

Relm shoots Kotetsu a death glare as she picks herself up from the ground, then makes a grab for her paintbrush and sketchpad. She's not going to get caught by surprise this time, darn it. Waving the paintbrush wildly in Yuta's direction, she backs away until she's as close to the door as Kotetsu will allow her.

"How many times do I have to tell you?! He. Tried to. Kill me! And now..."

She smiles an impish little smile, verging on downright evil.

"I'm gonna paint his portrait."

Yuta crosses his arms, trying to look unimpressed. There's a certain amount of uncertainty though...

"I wasn't going to kill you. I only isolated you because you came running for my room to do who-knows-what. And if you try to attack me," he warned, "I'll do it again. I'm not gonna just stand here while you try to hurt me!"

"NOBODY'S painting anybody's killer portraits or trapping anybody in whatevers, okay?!" He walks over and acts as a barrier. "Okay, let's get a few things straight here." He points at Yuta. "What'd ya do to her, first of all, that's got her thinking you're some kind of homicidal nutcase?"

"Yeah! Tell him the truth this time!"

Relm waves her paintbrush in Yuta's face before backing off for the moment.

"Don't forget to tell him about the moogle you kidnapped, either!"

"Kidnap...?" Yuta scowls, although it lifts once he realizes who Relm must be talking about. "You mean Kupo? I didn't kidnap him. He followed us out of one of those ruins with the blue monsters, so I took him in since he had nowhere else to go."

Hmph.

"And all I did was isolate her for a bit. It's my power; I can seal people or things off from the rest of the world and trap them in a box. I needed an easy way to get around her so she didn't attack me or whatever, so I isolated her for a minute or two while I escaped. That's why I broke the isolation once I was far enough away." He looks at Relm, his expression serious. "If I was going to try to kill you, that box would have never been broken."

Oy vey. Kids.

"Right, I heard enough." He points to Relm. "YOU. Apologize for messing up his room. And YOU," pointing to Yuta, "You apologize for scaring the crap out of her with your isolating thing, got it?"

Relm flinches when Kotetsu points to her. She was so close to the door, too! Oh well.

She scuffs her foot against the floor and mutters something that just might be an apology, but is completely intelligible.

"...I'm not apologizing unless I hear her apologize, too." So much for being mature.

More pointing. To Relm. "You. Speak up. It ain't an apology if nobody hears it." To Yuta: "You. Stop being a petty ass and just apologize already."

Parent of the year here folks.

"Okay, okay! I'm sorry for messing up your dumb room! I only did it 'cause you ran away like a coward!"

She glares up at Kotetsu. "Happy now?"

"..."

The expression on his face clearly says he doesn't want to, but he finally apologizes.

"Then I'm sorry you got so scared of being put in a box for a little while. Which I only did because I thought you were going to attack me for no reason."

"Ya know, most sincere apologies don't try to throw the buck back on the person they're apologizing to." Kotetsu facepalms. "Anyway. Here's the deal: Relm, you're gonna help him clean up the mess. I hear anything about isolating boxes or pictures coming to life in the process, you're both gonna be cleaning the bathrooms at the Justice League for a week free of charge, you got it?" He sighs. Why does parenting always have to be such a goddamn federal issue?

"Whaaaaaaaat? Are you serious?! Come on, that's not fair! I didn't do anything to hurt him, and he tried to trap me in that scary box until I croaked!"

She looks around the room, scowling angrily.

"I could just repaint everything and make it look better, anyway."

"I just said I wasn't trying to kill you!" Come on, he's more trustworthy than that!

"And I don't want any of your stupid paintings in my room, so don't even think about it!"

"Would you two JUST FRIGGIN' DO IT WITHOUT MAKING A FEDERAL CASE OUT OF IT?! Christ, you'd think I was asking you two to swap kidneys or something!" Kotetsu tries to remember if dealing with Kaede was anywhere NEAR as bad. Then he remembers that he needed to spend more time with her ANYWAY and tries to stop thinking about it.

"My paintings are the best and you know it!"

All this yelling and fighting wasn't getting her anywhere, so Relm decides to try a new tactic. Using her best sweet little girl voice, she pouts at Kotetsu.

"Do you really trust leaving an innocent little girl in a room all alone with someone so mean? What if he tries to hurt me again?"

Oh. Ohhhh no. She isn't...

"Says the one who can bring pictures to life! I think if anyone's at a disadvantage here, it's me!"

Oh no! The cute girl voice! That's his greatest weakness! ...if it's coming from his own daughter. Coming from someone he's seen bringing dragons to life who just spent the good part of getting here kicking and screaming like a banshee, it just sort of lowers his already nearly empty patience.

"Oh, well, if that's a concern, I'll be standing right outside the room until you guys finish. And you guys AREN'T LEAVING until it's finished, got it?" He can punch semi-trucks in Hundred Power mode, guys. Don't push your luck.

Well that totally backfired. Relm groans like only a bratty 11-year-old can and throws her hands into the air. Dramatically, of course.

"Come on, mister tiger man, don't be dumb. He's lucky all he got is a messed up room, after what he did to me! He can clean it up himself!"

Yuta rolls his eyes. This is so stupid, for so many reasons.

"Look, I don't mind cleaning up because I knew I might have to anyway," he began. "But I don't have any cleaning stuff here, either. So what should we do about that?"

"Hey, you wanna see luck? Keep pushing me like that, I'll show you LUCK." It's pretty obvious what kind of luck he's talking about.

Supplies. Right. Well, clearly there's only one option here. He whips out his cellphone, extending the message out. "Oi. Someone wanna get me some stuff to clean paint off walls? ...Yeah, Room 417. Whenever you can. I kinda gotta stick around a while or else I'd go do it myself. ...Okay, thanks." He hangs up. "There. Easily handled."

Kotetsu may be a sucker, but not as much of one as you'd like.

Relm had visibly brightened up when Yuta said he didn't have any cleaning supplies; maybe the kid wasn't a total moron after all. Of course that vanished as soon as she realized Kotetsu was too smart to take off and leave them alone. She shoots a glare at Yuta because clearly this was his fault. Yep, totally.

"You're really not gonna let up, are you." With a defeated sigh, she slumps to the ground to wait for the cleaning supplies.

Yuta takes a seat on the bed, crossing his arms as he waits. He's just going to be quiet for now and hope the lack of communication will keep Relm more or less silent too.

Danny isn't entirely sure why his Justice League duties for the day are bringing cleaning materials to an apartment, but it's too late for pondering that now.

Because Danny pops his head in through the ceiling and looks around. He then pushes one arm through the ceiling, holding a sponge.

"So. Someone ask for some cleaning supplies?"

"A ghost?!"

Within moments, Relm is on her feet and pointing her paintbrush at Danny.

"Stay away! I'll paint your portrait, I don't care if you're see-through!"

Yuta looks up, surprised for only about a second. "...Hey! You're the ghost guy I was talking to before." He pauses.

"...You aren't expecting us to clean with just one sponge, are you?"

"W-whoa whoa, hold it! He's a friendly ghost! FRIENDLY! Put the paintbrush down slowly!" Kotetsu yelps. He looks at Danny. "Guess she's a little skittish, sorry. You DID bring more than that, right?"

Do you see the face he is making right now, Relm? That is the face of deadpan disappointment and being slightly pissed off. Ghost racist.

He ignores her and addresses Yuta and Kotetsu instead.

"Well yeah, of course I did! Here, see?" He pulls the arm back through the ceiling to get more of the supplies and then pushes both of his arms through the ceiling again, holding several sponges, a large bucket with two mops, and a whole lot of soap.

Which, due to him being upside down in the ceiling, all fall out of his hands and crash to the floor in an unholy mess of cleaning materials, splattering sudsy water everywhere.

"Uh. Whoops."

Relm lowers the paintbrush slowly, but doesn't stop glaring at Danny for one moment, even when the cleaning supplies fall all around them.

"What're you doing?! Idiot!"

She sidesteps a falling bucket and waves her paintbrush, causing a bunch of small faeries to appear and start picking up the mess as best as they can. "How are we supposed to clean if you make an even bigger mess, huh?"

After the initial shock of various cleaning supplies falling from the ceiling, Yuta smacks a hand against his forehead.

"...At this rate, my room's going to be even worse than when we started."

Splash.

Kotetsu's beginning to think this responsible adult thing isn't all it's cracked up to be.

"And THIS IS WHY WE USE THE DOOR," he snaps, shaking a fist. Why did he get involved in this again?

"U-uhhhhh, yeah...heh, um. Sorry about that!"

He carefully floats down to the floor, now standing upright with a sheepish grin, and gingerly takes the mop that he dropped. "I'll help clean it up though!"

If they are observant, the others will likely notice the mischievous gleam in Relm's eyes before she quickly attempts to hide it.

"Yeah, you'd better. This is horrible. You made everything so much worse!"

She oh-so-helpfully hands Danny a bucket, now once again filled with soapy water. "Come on, stop slacking, ghostie."

Yuta catches that look. It's hard not to; as a troublemaker himself, he definitely knows the face of a kid about to start something.

"...Hey. You aren't planning something, are you?"

The accusation is a bit out there, but if there's anyone he's got his guard up around, it's Relm.
