RIGHT! I have no idea why I feel like I need to mention ANY OF THIS CRAP, but I can't take it anymore! Guys! I brush my teeth while I'm in the bath! I always clip my nails too short! It's really freaking stupid but I end up really liking any actresses that show up in my dreams! I WAS FREAKING NUMBER 6 OUT OF 7 ON THE HEROES LIST BEFORE BUNNY SHOWED UP AND BECAME MY PARTNER! There! I said it! I don't even know why because it's not like they were weighing on my head but it's like a big freaking burden's been lifted!

Okay! I'm gonna go drink myself into an alcoholic stupor now! BYE.

Not really, but I guess I can't really help it right now.

I mean, I know it's not really my fault on any level, even if I kinda feel like it sometimes. She'd been sick for a while. Part of me wanted to think she could turn it around. But part of me knew she couldn't. So I'd wanted to stay with her. But, you know, she was always a pretty strong-willed sort of gal. Told me "go be a hero!" and made me promise to keep being a hero.

I kinda wonder if she sent me off the way she did because she didn't want to see me fretting over her when she passed, honestly.

She sounds like just your kind of woman.

[There's a brief smile, but it soon fades into a melancholy expression.]

Hurts like hell, doesn't it? Losing somebody you care about and not being able to do anything, or even be there. I know how that feels, I wasn't there when my ma died, either. Your reason for being gone's a whole lot better than mine, though.

Heh. I doubt you could ever really convince me that's the case even if you said you just went out for a beer. I've definitely been living up to her promise, at least. Can't say I'm doing too good as a Dad, though.

You can't be doing too bad, either. Just being there at all, that means a lot, trust me. My dad, he gambled away everything we had and then ditched us when I was four. I know you haven't done anything like that.
