[Hei is not taking this amnesia thing very well. He takes his frustration out in private, though. For some time after he arrives, he explores the city. He gets acquainted with the geography, the landmarks and the general layout. He also takes time to think. His mind automatically directs him to consider advantages, explanations, solutions… and meaning. But too many of those things he can't get a solid grasp of. For Hei, it's a revolting feeling to be this lost and without control.

But, then, he's not alone here. He may not be in any kind of mood to interact with these people, but he needs to. And for that, he needs to put on a face. He won't be Hei--he'll be Li. The first name that comes to his mind.]

[The screen shows a partially flustered Hei, his face way too zoomed in. He pulls it back a bit to make the viewing more comfortable.]

Sorry. I suppose I'm not used to using models like this. Although, I guess there's no way to know for sure. [He laughs a little.]

My name is Li. It's nice to meet everyone. How are you doing? I just got here, and I do have one question I'd like to ask everybody. What have all of you been doing to get anemoi? At this point, I'm not sure what I'd be good at, so I thought it might be a good idea to ask around. I don't know if I'd be ready to leave the city, but I'm sure there are other options… right?

You'll get used to it. Amazing what you can adapt to when you don't have any other choice.

I went on a little exploring mission with two others, and we managed to find some anemoi. Also it seems like if you have a job, you get paid some every so often.

It is nice to meet you, Li, sir. I am Rika~. I have yet to gain anemoi, but I have been informed that you can gain it through exploration and work~. Work hard and you will remember in no time, surely.

I've been working at a law firm. They pay me with anemoi, in addition to my salary.

Most employers here are understanding of our unusual situation and the fact that we don't have any verifiable job experience.

I haven't been here very long either, but I did get some good advice-- I hope to be working for the police department soon! Jobs in the city pay a portion of your salary in anemoi, so that's what I'd recommend.

So do people normally go out exploring in groups? That does seem like a good idea.

I think I will go look for a job. If I had one back home, then something might come back to me naturally. Maybe?

I'll do my best to work hard, then. I'm sure that's something I can handle.

So how long have you been here, Rika? Have you made any friends?

I'm glad they're reasonable about it. Still, it must take some patience to phase all these amnesiacs into the work force. It's good that all of us remember basic knowledge and things, at least.

From what I've heard, that does seem like the best option. But, well, for me the police might be a little too adventurous. I'll have to see what else there is out there.

I waited until I remembered something of my law career before going to work, but I was fortunate in that it was one of the first things I remembered. As you say, we have basic knowledge, so we can work basic jobs until we remember our skill sets.

I imagine dealing with us is quite the task in any case, but some of us prefer to adventure outside the city.

Not sure. I think I've seen some other people trying to arrange something, though.

I'm not sure when I'll want to leave the city myself, but when I do, I guess I'll ask around. What's it like out there?

I don't recommend going too far by yourself. There are some pretty freaky things out there.

Oh, a variety. Really, anything you might expect to find in a city of this kind--that is, if it's the kind of city you're familiar with. [Some people seem less familiar with the modern way of life than others.] Since the population is so low, many businesses are in need of employees, so even if you don't remember your skills yet, it shouldn't be difficult to find work.

Well, the city I have seen quite a bit of. Do you know what it's like outside, beyond it?

I've been a little ways outside the city. [To practice controlling his flames, but he doesn't mention that fact.] It's abandoned, much of it in ruins or some state of dilapidation. There are creatures living there, but the dangerous ones are far outside the city. Nearer the city limits, there are less dangers, but also less anemoi to be found.

Makes sense. For now, I don't think I'll be wondering off too far.
