[ Kaguya's out at the park tonight with a stack of playing cards resting near her phone. One might wonder how it turned on without her realizing it, but that's answered soon as she tosses up a card randomly in the air. It flies up and randomly disappears. Another card toss and it's not as effective, falling down to smack her in the nose. ]

Ow-ow-ow-ouchies! [ Rubbing her nose, she picks up another card from the pile. ] Come on and focus, Kaguya! You're not going to remember what this does unless you practice really good at it! Now let's do this!

[ Throwing up another card. This time it disappears as green bubbles appear around Kaguya. Clutching her stomach, she just kind of bends over (opposite of the camera so no accidental boob shot to enjoy), giving a pained groan. ]

Ughhhhh... I don't feel so good. I think I need to throw another card.

[Recently, Ky remembered that he's a police officer back home. Since then, he's taken it upon himself to patrol the city when he has the time. So he's out and about when he sees Kaguya double over. Startled, he runs over.]

Kaguya! Kaguya, are you all right?!

[ Her hero! ]

What? [ Forcing herself to straighten herself back up, she looks towards him with a pale face. ] Yes, I'm alright. I just messed up I think.

[Ky quickly gets into close enough range to see how pale Kaguya's face is. If anything, this makes him more concerned.]

You don't look it to me. You look as white as a sheet!

[But once he says that, he manages to process the rest of what Kaguya said.]

Wait. What do you mean, you "messed up?"

But my sheets are pink.

[ Completely missing the point. What else is new? ]

Yes. It seems that when I throw a playing card up into the air a certain way, it does something nifty. Except when I mess up. Then I get to feeling sick or really feverish or...

[ She remembers when she was befuddled enough to cuddle with the park bench and call it her favorite kitty all too well. Picking up another card, she twirls around to hold it out towards him, as if this was her Most Amazing move ever. ]

You want to see?

[Ky gets thrown off for a second by that first remark. Give him a few seconds to collect his thoughts again.]

It's...a figure of speech. Don't think about it too hard.

[Ky just looks at the cards. Did she just get a memory?]

Maybe later. First, I want to make sure you're not going to get sick from this. Do you know a remedy, or shall I take you to the hospital?

Are you all right, miss?

[ Kyubei's been restless, so a walk was in order and - ]

You are unwell.

No, I'm fine. Really! I just have to get the hang of this.

[ Pausing to look them over. ]

Do you know the art of throwing cards into the air?

Sure♪

[ Throwing up another card, this time it explodes in a bright yellow light..

And Kaguya?

Kaguya is walking in a not-so-straight-line to the nearest tree.. and hugging it. ]

I love you so much, mommy♪

Okay, I won't♪

[ Aw, but she wanted to show off like he was before. ]

What? No, I think I'm going to be fine. It gets better sometimes if I throw another card up. It's pretty nifty.

[That does little to reassure Ky. He still looks worried.]

That's the only way? There's nothing that would be more reliable?

[He's following her at an arm's length in case she falls over or something.]

I... don't think you're all right.

...I do not. You may enlighten me.

Nope! Nothing at all!

So let's do this. [ Tossing up another card into the air and this time...

... her entire body glows red! ]

Oh, I think I'm really angry now!

Mommy says I'm alright and that I shouldn't talk to strangers!

Oh, well it's pretty basic. You throw the card into the air.. and then something happens if you're lucky!

Wha -- okay, let's stop! I don't like the looks of this.

...Are you talking to a tree?

I can't! I want to beat up something.

[ Hands in fists. It's go time. ]

Where's that tree at?

Wha -- no, you'll only get yourself hurt!

[He's not quite sure how strong she is, but he's certain she'd only hurt herself if she tried to attack a tree.]

Curses, there must be some way to remedy this...

[ What is logic when one's too busy being enraged? The girl's too angered to actually consider throwing another card, so she'll proceed towards the nearest tree.

This won't end well. ]

Damn--!

[Reacting quickly, Ky leaps in to restrain Kaguya. Maybe if he can somehow get her to throw another card...]

[ ooh mr. ky ooh ]

Huh? [ She's caught easily though. ]

What are you doing?

I'm trying to stop you from hurting yourself, that's what!

Blast, where are those cards...?!

[ Don't ask a lady from a fanservice game where she keeps her deck. ]

I'm not going to hurt myself! I'm going to hurt that tree! It insulted my father's honor!

It's a tree! It doesn't have the capacity to insult anything!

[Why he's trying to rationalize with an enraged woman is something that even Ky doesn't know.]

Just...just grab another card and throw it or...something! But no matter what, I'm not letting you hurt yourself!

Are you sure?

[ There's no pause to think over how dumb his words sound. What good is throwing a card? She guessed she could just throw a card at the tree and so she'll reach to grab one.

The sound of a card flying through the air quick fills the area as it thunks against the tree. Guess she's got a lot more strength than normal.

Well, she did. It fades as she stands there in a daze. ]

What just happened?

Whew...

[At that, Ky releases his grip on Kaguya.]

...You don't remember? I suppose I shouldn't be surprised -- that card seemed to turn you into a berserker.

A berserker? That seems kind of silly. Those sort of things aren't really real really?

[ Yes, she did just say all of that. ]

"Really real really?"

...I mean. Maybe. But. You...seemed to exhibit the behavior of one.

Maybe it was just your imagination.

[ Giving a nervous laugh. ]

I think I'm done playing with these things though.

Yes, let's stop for now. Would you like to find something else to do?

Hm, like what I wonder?

[ Instead of wondering though: ]

What are we going to do?

...Uh. Well...how about we take a walk through the park? This is the time of year that the leaves have changed color...

Alright, let's do that. We can collect leaves that are pretty, right?

We can if you'd like to.

It might be neat. It could be our own little arrangement!

Arrangement? What do you want to do with the leaves?

I don't know. We could press them in heavy books or make a leaf crown.

I think doing the former would be better. They'd remain preserved that way.

But the crowns would look lovely on our heads!

Er...but they'd only be good for a few days.

We can get a painting done!

And where would we find someone who was willing and able to take a painting?
