WHO: Tsuruya, Ruby, Ken, Rosalia, Barnaby, Jaime, and anybody else who wants to be in pictures
WHAT: Let's motivate some kids!
WHEN: January 5
WARNING: Bad acting is inevitable.
There may be new jobs, but there was still a vital one left to be done, and Tsuruya was no slouch.
They were allowed use of the school's cafeteria, where they could make use of the space as much as they needed. Tsuruya looks around, envisioning the layout. That situation with the moon had inspired her on the script writing, and she now had a good idea what to do. This was going to be the best inspirational film for kids ever.
Or at least the most hilariously bad. Tsuruya could pretty much go in any direction on that front.
Either way, they needed to start setting up, and she needed to wait for the others.

GENERAL SETUP

But then again, acting involved placing yourself in another's shoes. Ken still didn't know exactly how he filled his own, so how was he supposed to pretend to be somebody else? Maybe this was hopeless after all.
Not sure he wanted to announce his presence just yet, he hung back near the cafeteria doors, taking a look around to see who else had arrived, and what might have already been prepared. He had to do this. He'd promised to help.
And there were apparently other kids counting on this film.

"Hey, Ken!" she called out to him, waving as she ran over to him. "I didn't know you were working on this too!"
no subject
Or at least, that's what he'd requested. He'd do what needed doing, he supposed, but didn't especially want to think about what else that might entail. "And you?"
Maybe he should have brought Wormmon along. His partner had been so excited at the prospect of seeing him on film.

And besides, part of her motivation for coming had been just for the fun anyway. As long as she got to have a good time with people and maybe make a few more friends, that was all she could ask for!

"Have you...seen a script?" he added after a slight pause. Surely Tsuruya-san wouldn't have set up a filming date without everything prepared. She couldn't have.

...She didn't really know how these things worked. "Did you hear anything else about what we're going to be doing?"
no subject
Except he wasn't good with fiction. What else was required to put on a film?

She looked back at the door, watching for anyone who might coming through to join in. "I guess we have to wait for other people to get here, too, anyway."
no subject
Bowing his head, he addressed not so much Rosalia as the air directly in front of him. "You don't think - it'll come too late, do you? Inspirational films will always be needed."
So much for 'things'll work out', from the look on his face.

Tsuruya slides in, looking confident. "Yo ho! I thought I'd wait for you guys, but you were the ones kept waiting instead! Hahahaha! Hope you weren't waiting too long! How're you guys doing?"
Somewhat reassuringly, she seems to have some sort of manuscript on hand.

"I'm - well too," he concurred, also looking at the papers in question. Come this point curiosity had begun to rule over trepidation. "We just got here."

Upon review, she seems to have taken the event of the moon falling and utilized it to a somewhat more... metaphoric effect, with heroes knocking the moon away. Things about "the future still being bright" and "even when things seem at their worst, everything will work out okay" seem to be the general themes.
"So, whatchyas think?"
no subject
She shuffled the script so that it was in order and passed it to Ken. "Anyway, I like it! Maybe even better than what actually did happen the other day."
no subject
"It's - inspirational," he offered. "How will the special effects be managed?"
Something else nagged at him, something he couldn't quite place. It was reassuring, to see the events rewritten that way; things had all worked out for the best. But...
No, she'd worked hard on this. He'd feel odd offering a critique, however minor. Besides, what did he know about film?
no subject
Special effects, eh? "Well, we ain't exactly got a million dollar budget. I think if we just use a little film trickery, it should work fine, though!" she replies, waving things off. "Besides, we can always fix things in post."

And then Rosalia got to costumes.
"Costumes?" Ken looked almost taken aback at the notion. There wouldn't be anything too outlandish, and it was for shooting a film, but...
"I'll - make props, if you need..." he mumbled. Unlike Rosalia, he definitely didn't know how he felt about dressing up. "Where do we start?"

...still, he did say he'd help. Maybe he wouldn't really have to act, just hang around and make sure things went relatively well.
He hopes so.
Meanwhile, he's just sitting down at a table, drumming his fingers impatiently on the surface. One may notice that he's brought along fried rice for everyone and cabbage rolls for himself.

Yes, she's been remembering stuff. It's just generally not important enough to get noted."Wooow! This looks megas tasty! That's so nice of you, thanks!" she exclaims cheerfully. Who doesn't love fried rice?
no subject
Truth be told, though, it's about the only thing he could do. At least without inching into acting territory, anyway.

"Sorry I'm late, it took longer than I thought to make these."
