*So perhaps you're grocery shopping. Everybody's gotta do it, right? And then enters one of the strangest women you've ever seen. It's not the long robe that necessarily does it, or even the strange two-pronged hat she wears. No, it's those nine fluffy tails sticking out of her behind. Maybe she's some sort of weird cosplayer or something?
She'll approach the clerk of the store and bow deeply.*
Good afternoon. My name is Ran. I would like to deeply apologize for the inconvenience to your store a while back. It seems I had forgotten my manners in addition to everything else. By all means, please accept this payment to compensate for your lost merchandise. If that is not sufficient, perhaps I may be able to work off my debt? I do deeply regret what I did.
*And then she'll hand over some money. Wait, what SHE did?*

*Alternatively, perhaps you're finally hearing puttering about in that room that had supposedly been for some new resident. Maybe you'd seen a fox outside of it, even. But it sounds like whoever lives there has finally moved in properly. Perhaps you'd like to say hello.*
