[So that's what happened. Shirou had heard a bit about it from Rin, but...it was something entirely different to see it for oneself.

For most of the day, when you see Shirou, you may notice that he is oddly subdued, and much more pensive than normal. He'll spend most of the day in his apartment, but during the afternoon he's going on a long walk to see if that will help clear his head.]

That's good. I was getting tired of thinking of him. [ Clucking her tongue in annoyance, he can probably hear her moving around in the background. ] So that answers the question then. I'll be over soon, okay?

[ A pause, but then she'll continue on in a quieter tone. ]

Remember at the beginning of the month? I made a call talking about a really foggy memory and how stupid it was to think of someone else here being from the same place as me? The more I think about it, the more I really think he might have been. It's stupid though, so I'm glad he's gone off and got himself captured or killed by monsters. Or well, whatever it is he's done to rid myself of his presence. About time too because it was starting to really bother me.

[Shirou hopes he never annoys Rin to the point where she hopes he got killed.]

[But there are more important issues at hand, which is why he's letting this go for now.]

[ Click! Just as she promised, there's a knock on his door not even a minute later. Maybe she's trying a bit too hard to impress him. ]

[Wow, that was fast. Shirou opens the door.]

Come on in. Might be a good idea to take a seat.

[ If a girl can go from comatose to bitch in a few seconds, then surely she can show up at someone's house fairly quick. Only if she's feeling up to it though and Shirou is worth something to her. ]

I don't want to sit down. [ It takes too much effort to stand and THEN punch someone. At least she's considerate enough to step in enough to allow him to close the door. ] Well, let's talk.

[But that's a different Rin. Shirou steps away from the door and lets it shut when Rin enters.]

Well...remember that memory you had a while back? The one of...of the girl?

...I just remembered the same thing.

[ All Rins are the same way. Don't let that other impostor Rin in this game say otherwise. ]

Don't be stupid, Shirou. There's no way you could have remembered the same thing as me. [ With that, she gives a laugh. The idea of Shirou being someone from back home is silly after all. ] You probably just had a strange dream based with what I told you.

[The serious look on Shirou's face hasn't faded at all. If anything, he looks more stern now.]

I was wide awake, and it was way too vivid to be a daydream. It was a memory. Not only are we from the same world, we knew each other before we came here.

[ That look is what makes the laughter from her own mouth subside, the girl staring him over briefly before her own expression grows solemn. If they were from the same world.. then this budding closeness she's felt the past few weeks may have a further explanation. What if he was her brother-in-law or someone from school she knew? Suddenly, she's not able to trust her feelings and this leaves her more frustration than she cares to admit. ]

I see. You're.. you're sure of it then?

...And there was one more thing. That memory proved to me beyond all doubt that you're not a terrible person.

[ Any and all trust she may have shown him before is now gone. He's a potential enemy. He's someone she's allowed to get close and now it turns out they're from the same world? Stupid. How stupid of her it was to allow this to happen. She might even have liked the guy if he kept his stupid mouth shut. ]

A child dies and I do nothing about it. [ That's all she remembers at least, the memory vague in her own mind. ] Yet, you're going to sit here and say I'm not a terrible person?

The killer was a guy who could fling swords at people. Lots of swords. And he'd already killed a giant.

But I leaped out at him anyway, to get him to stop. I was outclassed. He probably would have killed me.

But then you showed up and threatened to attack his accomplice. That made him withdraw. So...you saved me.

[ Rin might be looking for a seat now that she feels drained all of a sudden. She still can't quite get over the fact she knew Shirou from before, but when he says something like that.. ]

You.. you idiot! You could have been hurt! You're lucky I was there! Also, don't think all of those stupid times you've supposedly saved me here make up for it either!

Wha--hey, come on! What was I supposed to do?! And how do you know that I didn't know you were there?!

You just said I showed up and threatened them! So clearly I had to have been there and you didn't know!! Get your memory straight before wasting my time about it!

That doesn't have to be the case! What if we met up before and tried to do an ambush?

Then why would you suddenly show up from a hiding spot and stop him from killing me?
