[Have a video feed. Danny looks away from the camera for a few moments before slowly focusing his gaze on the camera.]

So, um... I have a few questions for whoever can answer them.

What do you do if your parents hate the thing you are, but they don't know that...well, that that you are that thing?

[He pauses for a while, eyes focused off-screen again.]

Also...does anyone else have annoying siblings? What do you do with them? Or, well, did, I guess, since I don't think anyone's brother or sister is here.

Uh, yeah.

That's all I'm wondering about, really, for right now.

You have to explain it better than that or nobody will be able to understand! [ after all.. ] If they're your family, they'll care about you no matter what, right?

I don't really know how to explain it any better.

I thought so too, but I'm not so sure...I mean, their job is to destroy these things, and, uh. They really like their jobs.

So then it comes down to whether they like their job or their child more, right? In the end, it's got to be their kid they go for, I'm sure..!

Maybe...it's really hard to tell with how excited they get over their job...

[After all, when Danny got the portal working at the cost of getting electrocuted, his parents confirmed that the portal was working before they turned their attention to him. Not to mention all the memories he has of his parents aiming to kill him. He was in ghost form, sure, but it's one of the few things he remembers of his parents.]

... What kind of job do they have, then..?

[ It's a good thing Ilya doesn't really remember much yet. ]

They're...well, they hunt these things down and kill them. Or experiment on them.

And you're one of 'these things', then..? But then they should have known by now already.

It's...in my case, it's pretty easy to hide.

Then those 'things' are just like humans? But how can they tell the difference between humans and them?

Normally, you can tell. It's...pretty obvious actually. I'm just a special case, I guess.

Hmm.. It sounds like it's all very complicated.

But I think when it comes down to it, your parents will still love you. After all, you're not just one of those things, you're yourself as well, right?

Maybe. I mean, I guess so. All I can really do is hope, right?

... Do you trust your parents?

[Does he? He remembers them as loving, patient, always caring for him...

And he remembers them snarling, tense, weapons aimed to ~~kill~~ destroy him.]

[ It makes her pause and think.. she doesn't remember her own parents, even if the person who apparently is her mother is in this place, but even so.. family bonds are important. She remembers that much. ]

I think.. if you don't trust them, they might not trust you either.

If they're your parents, show them a little faith.

Heh, not like it matters much anyway, since they aren't here. And even if they were, they wouldn't exactly remember, would they?

Hmm, they wouldn't. But the most important thing is spending as much time with your family as you can while you do have the chance, right?

That other question of yours, though, that's pretty serious! It depends on how much they hate that thing, I suppose.

As for the other point...they really hate it. Sometimes maybe more than they, uh, love anything else.

[He means "more than they love their family", but he doesn't want to acknowledge that, not out loud.]

Not at the time! We were all pretty hard on each other over this and that, but that's how my family shows affection.

Yours, though... if it's that bad, I certainly wouldn't tell them while you still have to live with them, if ever!

Oh, I guess that makes sense then. Was that just...how everyone was, all the time in your family?

Yeah...I guess I do have to do that, don't I? Well...at least they're not here, right? Heh. That makes it a bit easier.

The ones I can remember, at least! We're not what you'd call a normal family, but it's worked for us so far!

They say you can't run from your problems, but it's pretty easy to do that here.

Well, we live in a castle, half of the family hasn't bothered to wake up for years, and my little sister ran away to America to become some sort of... what do you call them, those girls on television with the frills and the magical light beams?

As far as I can tell, being a regular superhero wasn't frilly enough for her.

Not in the slightest! That's why she's some sort of magical... justice warrior instead. It comes out to the same thing, anyway.

They have them in Japan, too? ...Come to think of it, that could have been where she got the idea. We all travel around enough.

So you used to live in Japan and...your sister got the idea to become a magical girl there?

I don't remember much about my brother and I don't think he was very annoying, so I can't really help with that. But the other thing...um, I'd be scared, but I think I'd just say something eventually. I'm not sure I could keep a secret from my dad for long, anyway. And your parents love you, don't they?

They do...but I don't know if they really do, or if they love me because they don't know I'm, uh, not quite what they think I am.

...I think all siblings are annoying at some point.
