No... he's definitely checking it regularly, and it doesn't seem to frustrate him too much to look through the posts. So what's the deal?

There's no real reason. I mean, anyone could learn any kind of magic they want. But people have different talents for different things - and you might not have any talent for magic at all.

Most people are only really good at one kind. Only Sages are really powerful with both.
