anemoi | (no subject)

WHO: Kotetsu, and other folks interested in seeing a darned inspiring Justice League Building.
WHAT: Getting this thing up and running!
WHEN: Various times.
NOTES: srsly you should probably help this guy.

He'd offered Anemoi to others, of course, but it didn't stop the slow memory trickle that apparently happened naturally around here. Having him remember a particularly notable incident from when he and Tomoe met -- not to mention a certain big lug named Antonio -- isn't really helping that overall melancholy that comes with having your chief end goal ripped away from you permanently by reality.

Thankfully, there's a distraction. A great, big, hurking distraction.

Kotetsu's throwing himself into the fixing up of the new Justice League building with gusto -- a quick patchup there, dusting here. He's working with such a passion that it would be easy to mistake it for whole-hearted enthusiasm for the project rather than a way to distract himself from slipping off to a bar to get so smashed he forgets things again.

So you might be helping him with:

1. Painting! Wallpaper! All the stuff that makes a building look, you know, not condemned or something. He probably missed a spot or two though.

2. Furniture! Geez, people throw out a lot of perfectly good furniture at the dump. What's up with that? Just a little fixing here and there and it'd be good as new.

3. Lunch! ...hey, a guy needs a lunch break sometimes. Man, he really likes his mayo.

4. Finding out how freaking expensive security fences are! Well, crap.

How does a guy his age have this much energy, anyway?

"At least don't drown your food in mayonnaise," he replies, though it's more a light-hearted jab. "Can you even taste it anymore?"

...well, someone's trolling today.

"What? Tastes just fine to me," he replies around a mouthful. Or maybe it's just that he's so used to putting a lot of mayo on that he doesn't know what it should taste like normally anyway? Who knows.

"Hey, just outta curiosity, why're you hanging around anyway? You thinking of joining up with the League or something?" Well, he didn't seem to have any powers, but hell, who needed them? Sure it's COOLER to have them, but still.

"Perhaps," he evasively answers. "I needed something to do, though."

Kotetsu shrugs. "Well, why not join up? I mean, you seem to be a pretty smart guy -- even if you know it way too much -- so you might as well put it to use, huh? Help the people and all that." Best job ever, to Kotetsu at least.

"I'll take it into consideration." To be honest, though, he's not all that sure about it. For one thing, he wants to help people, but for another, besides being smart and knowing how to defend himself (somewhat), he doesn't have any abilities of his own. At least, that he knows of.

"You do that. And hey, if not, you probably got a bunch of opportunities around here. Hell, you could even do some of that ruin diving! Just, uh, watch out for traps." Not that he knows from experience. Much.
