Terrific news! I've remembered some things about my past! It seems I owned a tea shop in the great city of Ba Sing Se.

There was a boy working there with a scar on his face who called me uncle. He always seemed on edge about something. Maybe he didn't like the wall hangings...

"If you believe some folks here, it's a conspiracy with the laboratory controlling what we remember. I can't imagine why they'd bother to do such a thing." Shen eyerolls.

Iroh looks mildly concerned at this, "But they seemed so polite and friendly over there."

"I'm not saying I believe the conspiracy. I'm simply saying that it exists, even though there's little, if anything to support it. Personally, I can't see what anyone could gain from such manipulation."

[tea_bending]

"I can't say I do either."

After a moment of silence, he asked, "So what have you been remembering?"

"Nothing... quite so useful, I'm afraid. All I've been recalling is... someone I once knew. Her scent... her touch... the sensations, the--reactions I would have in her presence or even simply hearing her mentioned to me. But I can't remember her face... or her name... but...." He breaks off, one wing going to his brow. "Her... voice. I remember her voice--like a soft flute. Gentle and melodious. I remember what her scent always meant to me...."

He shakes his head. "If it's simply fate that chooses what we remember, then fate is cruel, indeed."

"I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure more will come with time."

Shen sighs. "That much is certain. I only hope that other things I remember won't be so... saddening."

A teashop? Wow! I only remember going into teashops sometimes! Well, I remember a buncha other stuff at this point, but that's not important! Hahaha!

Hey, you think maybe you'd wanna open a shop here? I bet you'd get megas business!

First thing you asked me was about tea; 's pretty telling. So are you thinking of restarting? I've heard of plenty of exiles that wind up opening their own businesses here, and they turn out alright...
