[ There feed seems to flicker on and off a few times when it first starts - but actually, it's just someone fiddling with it, really. It's easy to find that out by the way the screen is pointed at something completely random and keeps moving, before it finally seems to display body parts. A much too close up of a red eye, then a hand covering the camera.

After a few minutes of fiddling like that (complete with interested noises, like a kid playing with a new toy) the image finally settles down on what seems to be a young girl. At first her gaze is curious.. ]

So this is what people here use to talk to each other, huh..?

[ ... But then she huffs and seems to put on something that seems more determined or even haughty, as if she's trying to cover up her surprise and confusion. ]

It can't be that seriously nobody knows how we got here, right? There's no way that's true! Those people who gave the explanation were so unhelpful too, geez.. [ she pouts just slightly. ] Someone has a more complete answer to all of this that they didn't forget, right? So.. come on, out with it!

[ And to think that she was talking about her the other day. It's really a surprise to see her here, but it is a good thing. She wonders if she--- No, she won't be able to recognize her for now. As when she did come here, her only memory was her name.

Even so, she is her beloved daughter. Irisviel might not remember all the things they had gone through together, but... There were new experiences that they can share together. She smiles gently at her. ]

Ilya...

[ There isn't a look of recognition, not at all. But the little girl looks at the screen surprised all the same. This woman.. she's never seen here before, even if she can't help but think they look a little alike. But the surprise comes mainly from the fact that this woman knows her name - that's her name as she remembers it, just Ilya. ]

You know.. my name..? [ There's almost something guarded about her, even in her surprise. ]

[ Irisviel is calm, though her own words sound a bit excited that she has her family here now. At her reaction, it is what she was expecting, but she won't give up. ]

Yes, I do. We are family.

[ ... 'We are family'. Part of her almost tells her to not accept it that easily, but.. her will to accept it is much bigger than that. This woman looks like her, so then it couldn't just be a coincidence or a trick, right?

But if she really has something like family here, even if she doesn't remember it.. If she's really not alone..

For a moment she's speechless, and it takes a lot to softly force out a word. ]

Fa.. mily..?

[ Irisviel smiles happily at her. Her child was such a pretty one, and being able to be with her again... She was so happy. ]

Yes, I'm Irisviel... I am your mother, Ilya.

[ There's another few moments where she's silent, and she doesn't really look at the screen - her head falls a little, bangs covering most of her expression. ]

I-- .. If that's true, I can see you right now.. right? [ If this really is her mother, then she wants to meet her more than anything, stay with her, not be alone.. ]

[ She watches that expression and lets her have all the pauses she needs. ]

Of course, I will be there next to you without hesitation.

Can I.. come over? Right now?

[ puppy eyes from your little girl.. ]

Of course, Ilya. Let me go to your side.

[ THIS IS YOUR MOM DRIVING TO SAID PLACE. ]

[ MOM DRIVING IS DANGEROUS.. but not like Ilya knows that, so.. instead, the moment Irisviel arrives.. there's a moment of hesitation. There's nothing she wants more than to run over to her and hug her and stay with her, but.. it's a little scary. This person is her mother, but she doesn't even remember her, that's so weird.

So she swallows, unable to make the first move. ]

[ She watches her so happily, even with some tears in her eyes. Tears of happiness. Irisviel moves closer to her, and without hesitation, she will wrap her arms around her in a warm hug. ]

[ The hug is what finally makes her break out of it, since some sort of feeling - nearly instinct - tells her that it's okay now, that this is somehow really family even if she doesn't recognize it.. And she feels her eyes almost watering a little too - but not fully - as she buries her face against the woman's clothes, clinging on tightly. ]

[ She holds the child warmly and tightly. It was so real, having her daughter here with her. Her body, her face, everything felt so nice in her arms. A mother reunited with her children again... Irisviel was so happy. ]

[ For a moment she pulls her head back, just to be able to look at the woman - at her mother. To be able to take a good look at her face, to make sure to remember it despite remembering nothing about her parents.. It just means she has to work harder to learn now, right?

And despite the slightly watery eyes, she lets out a soft giggle - smiling. ]

Ilya... I'm so happy that you are here. [ She keeps her close, smiling warmly at her and what she represents. ] You mother is here and will do anything for you.

M.. me too! [ Even if it's nice, feeling this safe and protected.. it's only fair to have equal exchange at the very least, right? ]

If there's anything I can do, just say it..! I'll help out too!
