I've witnessed someone dying before my very eyes in one of my own memories. While traumatic, it's hard to feel sorry for something that's already transpired. Memories like that are better off not being remembered, so I feel sorry for whoever it belongs to.

In the end, maybe it was better I remembered it instead of them.

You're saying you think it's better to never regain the memory at all? Not... that I don't sympathize with your position, but I'm not certain you're correct about that.

Well, what good does it do to remember it? Especially if you might have been here for so many months now? It'll just set you back!

Would you really want the loved ones you miss to be forever in a state of limbo in your head? If he's already remembered him, then any gaps in the memory in the future would only make things worse.
