[Rudolph glances to the side, leaning over the 2nd story rail - showing a man had crashed through the glass door in a fireman's get up, holding a lighter used to ignite grills as people ducked under the tables]

[The man hangs up so his hands are free. By the time Ky arrives, most of the patrons had left, and the alarm is ringing from an open exit door where "the fireman" is standing in an alleyway looking confused]

[Yeah, Ky isn't going to bother making his presence known until it's too late. He unleashes a Stun Edge Charge as quietly as he can manage, then follows it up with a round kick at the man's head.]

[The man lets out an oath and drops to the ground, the helmet clattering away. Just then Rudolph seem to appear right out of nowhere, holding a rather weighty book]

Looks like you beat me to the punch Mr. Kiske.

[He kneels down, checking his vitals]

I remember overhearing there is a kind of madness going around. This poor chap is probably a victim. Mind helping me get him inside before he catches something from this place - it is rather filthy.

I encountered another such instance, one whom Ran had dealt with by the time I met him. I have no idea what the cause of this is.

[Rudolph opens up the index drawer]

Unlikely - though they had found books that don't belong in the library here, unfortunately some of them are beyond deciphering, perhaps requiring a spell.

But we should at least narrow down the possibilities.

I suppose so. It could take a long time to narrow things down, though.

[He nods, narrowing the shelves of searching to Psychology, Medical and one small, hastily added section for 'Magic']

If Mr. Banksley returned to his senses when he comes to, we can see what he does remember. And we can ask the others if they discovered anything else.

I must warn you, don't put much stock in the possibility of him remembering anything. The man whom Ran had stopped could remember nothing of the incident in question.

Say... this is kind of a stretch, but you know more about magic than anyone I know. This isn't some kind of spell these guys are falling under, is it? Booster denied the possibility but it never hurts to double check. The entire theory sort of hinges on it, after all.

It's an umbrella term for those with the Dread Disease that take on the form of beasts voluntarily or no.
