(no subject)

[action]

[Valvatorez, out and looming dramatically at night, suddenly finds his attention focused on the swollen moon. A memory stirs...]

The moon... is...

[He suddenly drops to all fours, eyes widening in momentary panic.]

This... I've seen it before! But how? What is this?!

[The memory grows more and more jumbled. The moon... no... the Earth growing larger in the sky?]

No... this makes no sense! This isn't the Netherworld I remembered!

So why is this all so familiar...!

[Having regained his composure, Valvatorez clears his throat.]

I think it's about time we all accepted the very real possibility that the moon is, in fact, falling.

Do we have any sort of countermeasure available to stop it?

Not unless we have a tactical nuke and a willingness to accept devastating changes to the tides. I'm not even sure how this COULD be happening.

Kind of out of my general range of knowledge, I'm afraid. It would have to be a pretty dramatically strong power to derail something as large as that, though.

Except apparently moons falling down.

To be perfectly frank, I couldn't even begin to explain this unless I knew WHAT could cause a moon to spontaneously forget the laws of physics and start plummeting out of its own orbit.

...Touche.

It's cool dude, we can just send a deep sea drilling team into space to drill a nuke into the center of the moon and blow it in half before it hits the Earth. Trust me it'll work.

[identity profile] has-a-blog.livejournal.com 2011-12-31 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Tell you what. If you find me a space shuttle and a nuke, I'll find you a deep sea drilling crew.

[identity profile] has-a-blog.livejournal.com 2011-12-31 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Alright that's a promise.

[identity profile] has-a-blog.livejournal.com 2011-12-31 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
How hard could it be? I'm sure there are at LEAST as many deep sea drillers as there are space shuttles around here.

Maybe even more.

[Action]

[He hates to interrupt a good monologue, but Valvatorez does seem pretty troubled there.]

Are you all right?

If someone has remembered a powerful enough spell, why not blow the moon up?
