The area just outside the hotel is a memorable area, if only due to the frequency one sees it. On one corner of the intersection is the hotel itself. Across the street houses the Public Gardens. Across the other street, shops. The fourth corner, rarely mentioned, is a small park the size of a thin city block. Overlooking the intersection is a statue of some now-unknown local hero.

Tonight, however, it is a different statue. Now it is a classic, a man sitting down looking thoughtful, resting his chin in his hand. Under the statue is a plaque:

LISTEN CLOSELY, BEND YOUR EAR
TO FIND OUT WHAT YOUR PAST HOLDS DEAR
ARRIVE HERE AT THE TWENTIETH HOUR
TO WITNESS SOME OF MARIN'S POWER

Now I have to know what this is about

Huh? Wasn't this statue different a couple days ago?

[He stops for a moment on his way to...somewhere, looks the new statue up and down before his eyes settle on the plaque.

He'd have scoffed and let it be, but the second line has caught his attention for at least a few more moments before he walks on, but it never leaves his mind.

A while later, he comes back.]

[Shirou reads the inscription. He can only see this being one thing:]

...Memories?

The twentieth hour is... um, eight o'clock right? [Yes she is actually being smart for once]

Oh! So we have to be here at...eight o'clock? I wonder what it is.

"What my past holds dear", huh... [Normally, Mami would have ignored something like this. But ever since she regained her first (and still so far only) memory, she's been eager to she's been eager to remember more. So for that reason, she'll be coming back later.]

"What your past holds dear"...

[It feels a little silly, but it can't hurt to come back later and see what's up, right? Especially if it results in more memories.]

Huh. What's this all about?

This should be interesting.

[A few minutes before 8, Jr. arrives at the statue dressed as a cowboy and munching on a chocolate bar.]

Looks like we've got a party here.

What's the twentieth hour? I thought hours only went to twelve!

[At the stroke of eight, the statue stands silently, surveying Sirocco's surroundings. Despite a 6x alliteration multiplier, there was no immediate movement from the statue.

However, is the statue... is the statue glowing a faint blue?]

[No, sadly, it is not. That's just reflected light. But where's the light it's reflecting from?]

[Look behind you.]

[AWWWW YEEEEEEEAH EVERYONE GET YOUR TICKETS READY, IT'S TIME TO BOARD THE DOOOOOOOOMTRAAAAAAAAAAIN!]

[And it is COMING STRAIGHT FOR YOU! No wider than two cars, the train weaves and dashes on its own ghostly rails, skipping certain inhabitants and taking care to run over others! And with exiles conveniently gathered in one location, who could resist! Once he took care to run over everyone he could, he took off into the air... circling towards the hotel.

The impact can be hardly felt, but those who were... well, you might find yourself with a change of clothes.]
